Kävin isän vaatekaapilla ja tein löytöjä. Oma vaatekaappini sai kaksi uutta/vanhaa kauluspaitaa jotka heti kun säät sallivat pääsevät kovaan käyttöön. 

Muokkasin lilaa kauluspaitaa hieman ja purkasin rintataskun irti sillä se häiritsi minua ja tietenkin puen kauluspaidan eri tavalla kuin isäni. 

Toisesta kauluspaidasta myöhemmin kuvia kunhan vähän pääsen tuunailemaan sitä..heh..

"Style is way to say who you are without having to speak."

Sometimes I wish that my blog would be fashion blog with inspirational outfits and text. 

Outfits that would inspire others to be brave with their style. 

But the reality is, my clothes and style is boring and that I am a students with student's budget.

I admire people who have their own personal style, who are bold dressers.  I would love to be one of them. 

 But first I need money to buy new clothes, courage to dress the way I want to dress, more self-confidence and find my own style, my own voice. 

So I guess, I should start saving money. Baby steps.

we have a problem.

Girls, we have a problem.

Why?

I have heard too often how girls comment negatively on how someone look, wear, etc. Even to their own friends.

"Ugly shirt", "you should look at the mirror", "you are too fat for those shorts", "her/his skin is so bad", "Her eyebrows look awful."

Even jokes can hurt, you never know how confident this person really is, your jokes and words can hurt deeply.

Why it is so freaking hard to say something positive, do you lose something by saying so?

Are you helping someone if you say something negative about how she/he looks or what she/he is wearing?

Are you helping yourself by saying those negative things about other girls/boys? 

Do you feel satisfied by saying negative things about others?

Does that make you happy, does that make the other girl/boy  happy?

What is the purpose of saying negative things about other people´s look?

I just don't get it, think about it...

You can keep that negativity for yourself, that other person doesn't need it.

Nobody is perfect and everyone knows that, so we don't need those negative words to remind that nobody is perfect, vice versa.

We all know that social media, magazines and environment creates pressure on women already, how they should look and what to wear. Why you need to be part of the reason that women feel insecure? 

Just saying...

So, from now on I wish that everyone who reads this, even men, remember to say even one compliment everyday to someone. 

Trust me, you are going to bring a big smile to her/his face,you can even save her/his day!

It can be something small like, "I like your shoes", "you have beautiful red hair", "I like your lip color", "that shirt looks great on you", small things.
And next time when you are commenting on something negative, ask yourself how would you feel if someone says that to you?

Try, everyday one compliment or is it too much to ask?

I love to read different quotes of life and emotions. They really speak to me.

Cutting magazines and gluing images are my favorite things to do.

SAY NO TO NEW DRESS

Last summer I decided to make all my summer dresses and not to buy any new ones.

It was really hard but in the end I got dresses that I really liked.

SELF-PORTRAIT

I always take my own self-portraits.

I like to try different things and settings with my camera, that is how I learn to use my camera.

I also like to edit pictures, I don´t have any fancy image editing softwares. I use powerpoint and picasa. My own way. I think i would get so much more with photoshop etc.

But right now this is the way I do it.

SKETCHING?

I´m actually really bad at sketching and I would like to learn own style to sketch. Like people can tell that it is my sketch. That is my goal!

SUMMER GIRL

"All I want for winter is summer."

This summer dress I made flutters in the warm summer wind. My favorite season is summer. Even in cold winter I just want to wear summer dresses.

I get inspiration from the fabric. When I see fabric that I like, I usually know right away what I´m going to make. I dont design first. That is why I love fabric stores.

SAFARI

Safari and no I´m not talking about internet safari, I`m talking about these shorts that I made.

It is so weird when is summer, all you want to wear is colors but on winter is just gray and black clothes in the closet. Even though colors on winter would cheer us up!

Lets use more colours!

PURITY

To me white lace and bare skin is the element of purity.

This is why I didn´t wear anything else than these shorts-skirt I made.

The feeling of these pictures is really calm and pure.

IN LOVE

This is her story.

These pictures are very sensitive, because the girl is sensitive. 

I wanted to create a touchy, innocent and broken feeling in these pictures. 

The dress I made, is romantic with a dark twist.

A FOUR-DAY NEWS

Newspaper.

I made evening gown. This gown is made of our local newspaper, Helsingin sanomat.

My mom is really strict about recycling, so I decided to recycle my parents newspapers and tell a story. I used four daily newspapers. I cut individual news from the papers and glued to the fabric. This has been one of the most difficult "fabrics" I have ever work with.

My mom was the model because she bring credibility to this picture. She is 60-years old and knows and has gone through lot of things.

The atmosphere of the pictures is dramatic and strong.

Today´s newspapers is mostly about bad news around the world. Killing, war, hunger etc. but people only focus on their own lives and dont care others that much anymore, we are too selfish. 

. I wanted to bring that to the pictures.

"We walk forward with our evening gowns , pretending that we are blind to what happens elsewhere in the world. It is all about me, myself and I."

That is my message.

GHOST

"She was the ghost of the basement."

I wanted to make a contrast for the dress and the environment, so I decided to shoot in the dark,narrow basement. It was really scary place, especially beacuse we didn´t have any light there. 

But this is the story of beautiful ghost, in the cold and scary basement.

FLOWER IN THE SNOW

I saw this fabric and knew right away that this is going to be a long dress.

Like a growing flower.

I really like the colors of the pictures.

Even though it was -15 dgrees outside, you can´t see it from the picture, the atmosphere is really warm because of the colors.

These pictures were taken outside of ugly, old factory. This was the only part of the wall that was painted, the bautiful part of the wall. Perfect with the dress!

Small-size paper things in the real world.

Just like us, small human beings in the big world.
